Responsive Website vs Mobile App: OTT Comparison

Hi! I’m Eyrae from Nunchee.com.

Today we’ll be covering a common topic that comes up when launching a video service. Do I need a mobile site? Or a mobile application?

At first, it may seem like there isn’t a big difference between the two. But let’s go over them.

A mobile website, or in other words, responsive version, has a special design that allows its content to fit into any type of screen such as a laptop or phone.

Let’s take a look at this example that’s based on Nunchee.com. You can see how the content and layout adapt to the different screens.

And so everyone tends to think that a responsive website is the solution to not having apps. Well, it isn’t

Research shows that users spend almost 90% of their time in native apps.

Native applications provide unique user experiences. It simply works better with the mobile-phone components. You can also have other ways to communicate with your audience. For example, send push notifications a new video is available.

The only problem is that native apps require development, which can take a loooong time.

But let me show you why Nunchee.com is really unique when it comes to apps:

Nunchee builds your native apps for Apple, Android, and other operating systems with just a few clicks.

You don’t need any coding skills. Nor do you need to hire a software factory and spend your money on app development.

All you have to do is create an account at Nunchee.com, go to the App-builder section, and start configuring your service.

Select from a series of templates and color palettes.

Then create your App structure….For example, I’m going to go  ahead and create a new section call “Sports”, and a subpage called “Soccer”. And that’s it.

And lastly, enter everything related to your branding such as App name, description, domain, business logo, etc.

And you are ready to go. Your website will be up and running in 15 minutes. Once you’ve uploaded some content and organized them, publishing your native apps will take only a few days as they need to go through the review process of each app store.

And of course, custom configurations are also available and our team will be happy to assist you.

Hope you enjoyed this video.

Cheers!
